Johannesburg, Sunday, 12 April 2026: The Gauteng Tour Operators Association (GaTOA) is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Victor Sibeko as its new Executive Chairman.
Mr. Sibeko is a seasoned and visionary leader who is no stranger to the GaTOA Executive. He was appointed Deputy Chairman nearly three years ago, during which he also served as a Strategic Advisor to the Association pro rata. Upon completion of his term, he assumed the role of Interim Chairman, where he provided stability,
decisive leadership, and strategic direction during a pivotal period for the organisation.
Bringing with him a wealth of experience in business administration, strategic management, governance, public relations, and marketing communication, Mr. Sibeko is well-positioned to lead GaTOA into its next phase of growth.
His appointment reflects a renewed commitment to strengthening the Association’s role within the tourism sector and advancing the interests of tour operators across Gauteng and beyond.
Mr. Sibeko is the Founder and Group Executive of Buhle Bethu Group of Companies, with Buhle Bethu Travel & Tours, Buhle Bethu MICE – Meetings Incentives Conferences & Events Management serving as a flagship enterprise contributing meaningfully to the tourism value chain.
In welcoming his appointment, GaTOA expressed full confidence in Mr. Sibeko’s leadership, citing his deep industry insight, proven track record, and unwavering commitment to sector growth and transformation.
